NSW based players dominate selection for U17 Joeys camp
Twelve NSW based players have been included in the up and coming U17 Joeys squad at a camp set to be held at the AIS in Canberra.
All players have at some stage played for a TeleChoice Premier League club with the likes of the Marconi Stallions, Sutherland Sharks and Blacktown City Demons developing a number of these NSW based players with ten moving off to the NSWIS.
The NSW based players selected for the U17 Joeys camp are:
Connor Chapman NSWIS/Sutherland Sharks
Milos Degeneck NSWIS/Blacktown City Demons
Yianni Perkatis NSWIS/Marconi Stallions
Giancarlo Galiufuoco NSWIS/Sutherland Sharks
Samuel Chapple NSWIS/Sutherland Sharks
Joshua Da Silva NSWIS/Sutherland Sharks
Jacob Bandor NSWIS/Sutherland Sharks
Hayden Morton NSWIS/Sutherland Sharks
Alex Cerruto NSWIS/Marconi Stallions
Lachlan Tibbles - NSWIS/Marconi Stallions
Anthony Proia Marconi Stallions
Daniel Sadaka Sutherland Sharks
NSWIS coach Jean Paul de Marigny was delighted with the progress a number of his current NSWIS squad members who were selected for the U17s in their preparations for their friendly clashes against Japan on the 10th and 12th of April.
Its been a long process, four years in fact for a number of these boys, but I am pleased that they have been recognised at a national level.
We at the NSWIS identify them with a network of our coaches as well as the assistance of coaches from clubs in NSW in working with them with the overall outcome of developing them into future Socceroos stars.
Football NSW wishes the boys all the best with their commitments with the U17 Joeys.
